"Mr. S" was a big part of our family's life, and will be missed. I have many fond childhood memories of long summer days spent at the house on 7th Street, weeks in Ocean City, and good times with the whole Scalfo clan. Mr. S. was such a great guy, and a good friend to our family. Our deepest sympathies go out to Mrs. S., Diana, Christine, Audrey, and Henry Jr., and to their families. Love, Darla, Dana and the girls.

We will never forget Henry and all the fun times we had riding our PWC's with him, my Uncle Bobby, Ernie, and Joe Pustizzi through the waterways of OC and the back bays, rivers, and cuts. He was the "Grasshopper"..always running up onto the marsh grasses in the tight turns..and we'd pull him off the grass and back into the waterway. Shelley was young then and delighted in calling him the "Grasshopper!" Henry was a sweetheart of a man and we will miss him! I know he's up in that OC in the heavens...riding now with Uncle Bobby Penza and our dad, Ernie Bertino...our hearts and prayers are with Marty and all the family.

My darling Uncle Henry was a fellow Capricorn,so we shared a unique understanding of one another. His drive and resilience was an inspiration to me in my youth and throughout my adult life. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who lived life to the fullest. Someone, I always looked forward to visiting as I knew good times were in store. I will miss him dearly but see him in the faces of my cousins and his loving and devoted wife, my Aunt Marty. I can still hear his deep baritonic voice and laughter, and it makes me smile. Our bodies may pass away but our spirit and soul lives on forever. His Loving Niece, Patty Jane

Marty and family, in my brief and limited relationship with Henry, I got to know and respect a very kind, successful man, that was a joy to deal with. Henry was a man's man that always treated me the way I hope to be treated. He was a leader in every way and this would be a much better world with many more Henry Scalfo kind of people. I will miss him and never forget his kindness!
