Griselda, Tony, Sandra and Marisa, sending heartfelt sympathy to you and your families from my sisters and I in the loss of such a wonderful mother. I remember when your family moved to Myrtle Street and the joy our mother Anna had with Lena and Alfonso as neighbors. Myrtle Street was a special place growing up and your parents were a big part of that. My mother and Lena used to exchange their baked goods and since my mom also did alterations, they had that in common as well. Something funny...I was taking Italian in high school and was having difficulty so my mom (of the Abruzze heritage)suggested going to see Lena and maybe she could help...well your mom looked at my textbook and didn't understand it! I eventually gave it up and to this day I regret not having pushed myself. Our parents did not teach us the language at home. Your mom was a beautiful lady and always a pleasure to talk to. She is fondly remembered in our hearts and will remain at the top of the list of our fondest memories of growing up on Myrtle Street. Keeping you and yours in our prayers and thoughts. Fondly, Beanie, Colette and Ginger.

Griselda, Sandra, Tony, Marisa, and all of your family: I will always remember how your mom welcomed me and any number of teens into your home before and after events at Sacred Heart, always with a smile and an offer for food. May she be greeted in heaven the same way by all of her loved ones.
