Obituary of Linda Catalano

Linda Catalano, 63, of Vineland passed away August 20, 2008 at South Jersey Healthcare. Born in Vineland to the late Anthony and Teresa (Romeo)Vastano. A lifelong resident of Vineland and graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1963. In her early years, she volunteered and later became the Director of Friend of Animal Cumberland County SPCA for more than 20 years. Linda was a volunteer at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newfield and the House of Charity for many years. She loved her home and spending time with her many friends and all of her animals. Everyone who met and knew Linda quickly recognized what a loving, caring person she truely was. Jimmy and Linda were totally inseparatable. Their love was something special to all whom knew them. Linda's true passion was her love for animals which could not be put into words alone. Her 30 years of dedication to Cumberland County SPCA was rewarded when Linda directed the construction of the beautiful new SPCA building that continues to serve all animal victims of cruelty. Linda's strong religious faith enabled all who knew her to live a more caring and forgiving life. Her presence in our lives made everyone better. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, James R. Catalano of vineland, Brother-in-law and wife Charles and Maryann Catalano, Boonton, Many neices and Nephews, her pet dogs Sadie and Maggie. A church visitaiton will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 8:30 to 10 am followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 104 Catawba Ave, Newfield. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations in Linda's memory may be made to Linda's Foundation C.A.R.E.
