Obituary of Ronald A Wohl

Ronald A. Wohl, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on July 7, 2014 at Friends Village Skilled Nursing Care Facility in Woodstown, NJ after a lenghty illness. He was born on November 25, 1936 in Basel, Switzerland, and resided with his parents, Kaete and Curtis Wohl until the late 1960's. After his educational requirements and Swiss Army obligations were completed, he emigrated to the US . Having earned his PhD in biochemistry in Switzerland, his first position in the US was teaching biochemistry at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Following that, he spent the rest of his proffesional career as a medical biochemist in the international pharmaceutical company, based in New Jersey until he retired in 2004. As he was fluent in several languages, he traveled extensively for the company and was very well respected by his colleagues and friends both in the US and Europe. his contributions to society will be rememberd honorably. one of his most beloved hobbies involved his affiliation with the International magic Society, His interest in this subject began when he was 11 years old, and its fascination and participation in it remaind with him throughout his life. he was well known and honored worldwide in this organization, both for his frequent attendance and performances. He became quite the illusionist in his time. Among many varied iterests and hobbies, Ron also enjoyed gourmet cooking. he is known to have created many interesting dishes in his own kitchen, as well as tasting some of the finest foods in some of the finest restaurants around the world. Ron also enjoyed and was very well versed in the arts; museums, galleries, concerts, etc. We always enjoyed including our cousin, Ron, in family affairs and celebrations and we will miss him very much, as will his many friends.
