My late husband Dr. Claude J. Meyer was a good friend of Ronnie's (as we called him) . His parents and Ronnie's parents were good friends as well. We all immigrated to the US from Switzerland about the same time and that is when I got to know him. As I love to cook myself, we often exchanged recipes and he delighted my the young children with his magic tricks ! Unfortunately, due to circumstances, we lost contact with him. I got remarried and we moved to Chapel Hill, NC (Duke University).
Please accept my condolences and my deep sympathy on your loss. I will always remember Ronnie very fondly.

I was very sad to hear that Ron had passed away.
So sorry, please accept my condolences.
I met him at an International Magic Congress in Madrid in the 80's, through common Swiss friends. From there on we have been meeting each other in Spain (Madrid, Murcia, Valencia, Granada, Ronda) Switzerland (Basel and Olten) and of course in NY.
He was always good fun to be with, and we enjoyed to update each other with the latest new restaurants, and places to go.
I will miss him, especially when I will visit NY again, as he was always a great advisor, what to see, which show to visit etc.
I am greatful I had the chance to meet him.
Wishing you lots of strength.
Regards from Switzerland.

I met Ron while working with him at Berlex. A friendship developed that resulted in daily lunches with our good friend Vijay Jain, away from the office. Even after their retirements, we continued the luncheon tradition, although not with the same frequency. I always admired Ron's breathe of knowledge, even to the point of him lecturing me on how to properly eat sushi. After all, I was only raised in a Japanese American family. I appreciated his dry wit and will miss our deep and not so deep discussions. I am proud to have called Ron a friend.

I don't know how to properly do this, so please accept my apologies for my clumsy approach, but I want to leave some words in remembrance.
I met Ron at work back in the early 1990s. He was a highly esteemed colleague, and, during my time in the US, also briefly my boss. It was a pleasure working with him and for him since he was sharp and loved discussions to be to the point and intellectually challenging. He despised stupidity and shallowness, something we always had in common. It provided us, unfortunately, with a sheer endless source of material for discussions. He will not be forgotten!

A lovely and gracious man, and a fine and very inventive magician. Always a pleasure to run into him at Gatherings 4 Gardner in Atlanta every two years. He'll be missed.

I am very sorry for Ron's passing. I worked with Ron many years and he sponsored me into the SAM Magic Club (over 27 years ago) which I am still a member of. I will remember Ron for his wit and general knowledge about many topics (magic, gambling, collecting, cooking, travel, languages,etc...). I will miss Ron at our Magic meetings.

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear cousin Ron. We had the pleasure of meeting Ron through the Society of American Magicians Assembly 25 several years ago. We had fun dining with Ron before the meetings and catching up with him at magic conventions. We enjoyed his company and will always remember him as being a brilliant magician. He will be missed by us all. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
With Sympathy,
Cathy, Cyril and Sean Burke
