Obituary of Joseph M. Sacchetti

Joseph M. "Twit" Sacchetti, 77, died peacefully after a brief illness, on Friday, July 15, 2011, at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. He was surrounded by his loving family. Twit was a devoted husband, father and Pop-Pop. He enjoyed so many things in his lifetime-Sunday dinners with the whole family gathering at his house, and watching Sunday sports with his son and grandsons. He loved the beach, especially at his daughter's home in North Wildwood and playing cards. He was a proud and devoted member of the Diamond Social Club where he was employed for more than 30 years. He joined the Club at age 18 and still is an active member and part-time worker. He loved all his poker playing buddies and all the "guys" from the Club. In his early years he was a driver for Zip Cleaners. He loved the casinos and playing Spanish 21 & Blackjack with his grandsons, and Frank Sinatra music. He especially loved being with The Crowd on vacations, dinners out and Saturday nights. He will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marie (Maselli) Sacchetti, of Vineland, his son, William "Bill", of Millville, daughter, Karen Gasior, of N. Wildwood, and his beloved grandchildren, Nick Sacchetti, Kelly Sacchetti, Chadd Gasior, Jenna Gasior and her partner Jessica Todd, and their father, Rick Gasior, also surviving are his sister Rosemary and brother-in-law Albert Meyers of Marlton, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sharon and John Provenzano of Vineland, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Mary (Nicolato) Sacchetti and his brother, Domenick Sacchetti. He will be missed by Roxy and little Maggie Mae, both pets dearly loved. He was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish.
