Obituary of Roy Rayford

Roy Rayford, 76, of Millville, passed away on October 26, 2011, quietly at home, with his loving family by his side. he was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1953 to 1956, continuing to serve in the US Army Reserves from 1956 to 1961. He was a truck driver for 42 years, retiring from the Teamsters Local 676.Roy was an avid hunter, a member of the GI Deer Club for most of his life. An avid High School Sports fan, he enjoyed golf and playing cards . He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Shirley, a brother Tom Woodward of Newport, four children, Roy B. Rayford and wife bettie, of Vineland, Cheryl Davis and husband John, of Millville, Rick Fischer of New York, Mary Fischer , of Millville, Daughter-in-law Stephanie Miller, of Millville. he is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Opal and Benny Musso, of Rosehayn. His legacy will be continued by his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving Roy are his mother and father-in- law, Minerva and John Camp, brother and sister-in-law, Mary and John Wangstrom.
