Obituary of William Benjamin Pogust

William Benjamin Pogust, 87, died peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2008 at hishome in Key Largo, Florida Born in Pittsgrove Township, New Jersey to the late Carrie M. Snyder and Benjamin Pogust he was formerly of Hammonton and Camden, NJ. A decorated World War II veteran and proud member of the BIG RED ONE, retired from the Camden City Schoo System. His loved ones left to fondly remember him as "Bicky Bill" are nieces and nephews: Carol, Laurie and Mary Lou Mitchell, Lynn Decker, Louis Marquet and Robert Banford. His granddaughters, Sarah (Douglas) Fulk and Rachel (Blake) Kroll and great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace and Lauren Elizabeth Kroll and Benjamin Clayton Faulk and daughter-n-law Gail Marquet of Mount Pleasant SC. Bill was a very devoted cousin, friend and neighbor and he enjoyed being the life of the party. He is survived by his son, Michael of New York and sister, Evelyn M. Hart and Ruth A. Banford of Hammonton, NJ, Lillian Gardella of Vineland and beloved companion Alice Dance also fo Key Largo, Florida. He was predeceased by his son, William b. Marquet, wife Mary and sister Laura Mitchell. the special buddy he adored was Max, the puppy. He was affiliated with the following organizations: The M. B. Taylor Lodge, #141, F.&A. M. of Hammonton, NJ, The American Legion, Post 333, Key Largo, Fl, The VFW, Post 10211, Key Largo, the Moose Lodge, Key Largo, The Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Moose Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Sou, New Jersey.
