Obituary of Paul Onufer

Reverend Paul P. Onufer, 75, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2007, at his home in Cape May Court House, NJ. Fr Paul was one of 10 children. He is survived by two sisters, Kathryn Colombo of Toms River and Polly & husband Bill Nome of Lakewood, WA. He also survived by his beloved nieces Kathleen & husband John Vermitsky of Blackwood, Peggy & husband Ed Novak, Barbara Piontek and Joanne Hagstom. His surviving nephews are: Paul & wife Maryanne Krug Jr., Matthew Krug, Stephen & Joan Piotek, James Swan and Joseph & wife Andrea Onufer. He is also survived by 17 great and great-great nieces & nephews. Fr Onufer dedicated and enjoyed 48 years of his life to pastoral and teaching duties within the Diocese of Camden. The reception of Father Onufer's body will take place at Saint Padre Pio Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland on Monday, December 10th at 3pm The viewing will continue until 6:30 pm. The Mass of Jesus Christ the High Priest will follow, at 7:00 pm. The second viewing will continue on Tuesday, December 11th in the church from 9 to10am. Bishop Galante will then celebrate the Funeral Mass for Father Onufer at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Vineland.
