I met Mr Mesiano in the early 80's when he rented his store on Landis Ave from Leslie Kotok. I also met several of his daughters during the course of his tenancy there. The one thing that I remember was just how nice a man he was. I don't ever remember hearing him speak an unkind word. Over the years, my husband and I would run into him in different places and he was always smiling. It seems he always remembered us and, of course, he knew my Rick from Fire Company events. No doubt, he will be sadly missed by all.

To all of you that knew this great man. Thank You for your kind words and prayers. He was a man of honor and integrity. He was the most wonderful father a child could ask for. Our family was truly blessed to have had such a wonderful father. He loved his family and would anything for them. We were blessed twice because we had such loving parents. I take solace in knowing that they are together again. I love you Dad...........Your Daughter Susan

After reflecting on the events of the last few days, it is clear that Dominic was a very special man to so many people. He was my favorite uncle. I'll always remember his smile, his laugh, and his stories, as well as his devotion to his family. A giant of a man with a heart like a marshmallow. The best times of my childhood were the times we visited Uncle Dominic & Aunt Gina. Always and exta chair with something always cooking on the stove. My favorite place to spend time in was the basement. Fishing rods, old typewriters and such. And of course, a story to go with every item. I'm gonna miss him very much.

Your father was a very genuine person. I truly enjoyed out talks when I ran into him occassionaly. He and your mother were good to me when they had the business. I am sure all of you will really miss him. My daughter was in a car accident on Sunday and I was not able to pay my respects Mon nite. I hope this will reach all of you to tell you how sad I was when I read of his passing. I pray God will give all of you comfort during the next few months. Fondly Pat

I think I was about 12 or 13 and it was in the back of Dominic and Reginas home in Buena. My Aunt Maria used to take me and my sister there and sometimes we would go out back where they used to play paintball. Mr. Mesiano was the first person who taught me how to count correct change back to a customer when they purchased something. I wasn't getting the hang of it and he was determined to help me. It may not be a memory of substance but to me it is a fond one.
