Obituary of V. Lombardo

V. Eleanore (Hultgren) Lombardo, 92, of Vineland passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, her family moved to Vineland when she was a toddler, where she remained a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Throughout her life, Eleanore loved traveling, gardening, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Later in life, she served as an officer of Tarklin Acres Resident Auxiliary and the Patrick Fiorelli Senior Center Woman's Auxiliary, where she could be found playing pinochle, penny poker and bingo. She loved the Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed celebrating her 90th birthday with her family, friends and the Philly Phanatic. Eleanore is predeceased by her husband in 1974, Nicholas James Lombardo, her parents Karl "Charles" and Hilma (Grenholm) Hultgren; and her brother Carl "Howard" Hultgren. She is survived by her son and his wife James & Annette Lombardo of Sea Isle City, NJ; granddaughter & her husband, Jill & Joseph Melchiore; granddaughter, Amy Lombardo; great-grandson, Nicholas Melchiore; and her nephew, Glen Hultgren;. A church Visitation will be held on Monday from 12pm to 1pm followed by A Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm from Saint Isidore The Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
