I attended the services on Friday. I was so touched by the Eulogies from Art, and Rusell. It was so touching and true, they were great. I loved Mary like a Mother because she helped me through some hard times and I knew her since I was 18 years old and now I am 60 yrs old. I have been reading what people have wrote about Mary and so many people loved her as I did and learned alot from Mary. I hope you learned what I did from Mary is to" Keep life simple" Romare (that was the name she gave to me in 1966)

One of the funniest, strongest women I have had the pleasure to know, who never thought twice about asking for Blue Ribbon at a wine tasting. While I send my deepest condolences to the Baruffi family, it is hard not to focus on the full, wonderful life she had and find comfort in that. May we all be as lucky as dear Aunt Mary.

Mary was a part of my growing up and a part of my mothers growing up. She was more like family then a friend. Her love of life and laughter will make me smile when I think of her. Her love of my family will always be remembered and cherished. It was so shocking to have heard that you left this life that you loved so much. We will all miss you.

Jack and I are still tasting the wonderful breakfast fritatta you cooked at our house 3 weeks ago, with ingredients your brought with you. You even remembered the Calandra bread. Mary, you are with our pal Bunny now. We had so many happy trips together. You could always upgrade us to first class. Please save a first class seat for me now! I miss you. Love, Marie

Dear Family: Mary was a neighbor of mine when we lived on Mt. Prospect Ave. in Newark. Mary was the life of the party and the room lit up when she walked in. She introduced me to mascaponi cheese for which I will be eternally greatful. I'm sure there was a great party when Mary got to Heaven. Thank you for me knowing Mary, a great lady. Evelyn E. Dear Members of the Family of Mary Baruffi: I send these words as a representative of my mother and me, who are unable to attend the services of our dear friend, Mary. We feel her loss deeply and have offered many prayers on her behalf. In college, I decided to spend a semester abroad in Rome, Italy. My mother contacted Mary, who worked for Alitalia at the time, in order to seek advice on travel, the customs, etc. Mary was so generous with her time and assistance. In fact, when she came to Rome, she always made the effort to contact me, take me to dinner, or introduce me to her friends. Her efforts lessened my homesickness. Mary was a good friend to my mother, sharing her homes in Newark and the Lake, introducing Mom to the relatives in Lizzano, and watching over me. Our photo albums contain much evidence of our good times together. Mary Baruffi is a permanent member of our memories and our hearts. Our deepest sympathy, Lorraine and Deborah Martinelli

Aunt Mary is a strong women. As Frank Sinatra’s song goes “I did it my way “ truly describes the life she had. My only regrets are that I wish we could have shared more time together so I could enjoy hearing all the Italian stories about our family roots. She will be missed at all the future family gatherings. I will always think of her when I hear the song, "On the way to Cape May" There will only be one, "Aunt Mary". Buona Notte Zia

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die. ...By Mary Frye Thank you Aunt Mary ... we will always keep your memory near!

There are no words for how unprepared your death was. I can't help but selfishly wish you were still here and able to play pinochle, watch tennis or the o'reilly factor, hear your sing or laugh, or say goodbye. God gained a one-of-a-kind angel when you left us. I will always miss you, and I know with confidence, many people will also. With love and pride to have been your niece, Jenna
