Obituary of Anthony J Izzo Jr

Anthony "Tony" J. Izzo, 82, of Vineland, N.J., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Anthony was born and raised in Chester, PA. He graduated from Chester High School and after graduating he enlisted and served four years in the United States Navy. Anthony worked for Scott Paper/PGI for 45 years until his retirement in 2008. Anthony was a quiet soul, who loved his family dearly. He loved family gatherings whether it was on vacation, getting together on the Holidays or just being at home. Anthony loved all sports, football and baseball were his favorite. He also enjoyed his time golfing, bowling and playing softball back in the day. Anthony also loved collecting antiques with his wife and doing his crossword puzzles every morning. Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Lois Izzo of 30 years; his two daughters, Janice Mistretta and Deborah Caudill (William); stepdaughter, Cheryl Nicholson-Riggins (Steven); stepson Joseph Nicholson Jr.; five grandchildren, Janine Alicea (Eddie), Charles Mistretta III (Brianna), Emily Caudill, Brandon Caudill, Joseph T. Nicholson; five great-grandchildren, Shawn Guadelupe, Angelina Alicea, Lilliana Alicea, Delaney Mistretta and Sadie Mistretta. Anthony is also survived by his siblings, Violet Bradley, Thomas Izzo (Kathleen), Susan Sharpe; his aunt, Carmela Lewis, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Anthony was predeceased by his loving parents Anthony and Caroline (Pincura) Izzo, and his brother in-laws Lawrence Bradley and Michael Sharpe. A celebration of Anthony`s life will be private and held at a later date.
