Obituary of Garry B. Vai Sr.

Garry B. Vai Sr, 78, of Vineland passed away on December 10, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Garry was born in Vineland to the late Bruno and Irene (Bononcini) Vai. He entered the US Army in 1965 where he earned the rank of SP4, and served until his honorable discharge in 1971. While in the Army, Garry received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Award. Garry worked for Imperial Distribution, Lee Rain, Shop Rite and RJ Ferrari. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Ever Rest Never Hunt Beer Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR and drag racing. He is survived by his son, Garry B. Vai Jr.; grandson, Frankie B. Vai; brothers, Glen Vai and Dennis Vai (Denise); sister, Deborah Vai Lillie and his niece, Lauren Lillie. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:30am to 11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
