Obituary of Frances M Lawrence

Frances Mary Jannarone Lawrence, 84, of Richland passed away on November 21, 2023. She was born in Montclair, NJ on June 27, 1939. Her father died before her birth and she was raised by her mother Mary Jannarone and grandfather Peter A. Landolfo. She attended Lacordaire Academy and then Caldwell College for Women, graduating in 1961. In the mid-1960s she began her teaching career and worked part-time as a waitress in her family's Montclair diner. At the diner she met David Lawrence of Rochester, Kent, UK, and they married in 1967. In the late 1960s they moved to Southern New Jersey and Frances began teaching in local school districts. Their son Robert was born in 1970 and their son Richard in 1971. Frances taught in the Buena Regional School District from the late 1970s through 2000. Frances was dedicated to her family and always willing to serve and help others. She was highly active in women's clubs and local social organizations throughout her career and after she retired. She is survived by her sons Richard A. Lawrence (Jennifer Beirne) and Robert S. Lawrence (Sara Ridenour); grandsons, Ian Lawrence, Pierce Lawrence, and Jude Lawrence; and her cousin Peter Landolfo. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Mary Jannarone and Frank Jannarone. A funeral mass will be held Monday, November 27th at 11am at Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of St. Mary's, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
