Obituary of Michael Cerrato

Michael D. Cerrato passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at home with his family by his side. Michael was born May 26, 1934 to Frank and Rachel (Lisi) Cerrato. He graduated from Vineland High School in 1952 and then immediately began farming. In the winter months, he drove for Newfield Oil. Eventually, he merged with his brother-in-law Anthony Pipitone, known as Pipitone and Cerrato Farms. Then in the winter of 1982, he became a full-time salesman with his son-in-law Butch and Sam Fiocchi at Lee Rain Inc. Michael is survived by wife of 69 years, Marie Pipitone; daughter, Kathy Fiocchi; sons & daughters-in-law, Michael Jr. & Jan Cerrato and Mark & Gina Cerrato; seven grandchildren, Lee Fiocchi III (Felicia), Todd Fiocchi (Gina), Kristin DeMore (Tommy), Katelynne Cerrato, Anthony Cerrato, Adrianna Titherington (Burk), and Annamarie Simone (Greg); 11 great-grandchildren, Lee IV, Bianca, Olivia, Carlina, TJ, Gino, Burk, Lyla, Livy, Vinny and Jackson; brothers, Nick Cerrato (Ronnie) and Anthony Cerrato (Sharon); sisters-in-law, Theresa Marandino (Jack), Rita Wallace and Cathy Pipitone; brother-in-law, Bob Ingraldi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rachel (Lisi) Cerrato; son-in-law, Lirio "Butch" Fiocchi; mother-in-law, Marie Pipitone; brothers-in-law, Anthony Pipitone, Eugene Dandrea and Mill Wallace; and his sisters-in-law, Josephine Dandrea and Jennie Ingraldi. A church visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 9:15am to 11:15am followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 am from Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of Saint Rose Of Lima, 104 Catawba Avenue, Newfield, NJ. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield.
