Obituary of Paul Banko

Paul Andrew Banko, loving husband and father, of Vineland, NJ passed away on March 4th after a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia. He was 67. Paul was born in Newton Falls, OH on Jan 4, 1956 to parents Andrew and Henrietta (Cienik) Banko. He played football at Newton Falls High School, graduating in 1974. Next, Paul attended Bowling Green University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and graduated in 1980. The bulk of his career was spent in management (Rite Aid and Jamesway). He enjoyed sports, woodworking, classic cars, and was a history buff, especially on his hometown. In recent years, Paul volunteered as a Volunteer Advocate for victims of domestic violence at SERV (Services Empowering Rights of Victims). Paul was predeceased by both his parents, along with sister, Rita. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Beth (nee Repko); his daughter Lauren and wife Sarah of Pitman, NJ; his son Nicholas and fiancee Katie of Bluebell, PA; along with his sister Patti Kinel and brother-in-law John of Newton Falls, OH. He also leaves behind his beagle Lacee. Please join us for a memorial service at Larry's II in Vineland on Saturday, March 18th from 1pm to 4pm.
