Obituary of Marie Grego

Marie Grego last of the original Ianuale clan, passed quietly on February 26, 2023 at 103 and 1/2 years old. She was a ferociously independent woman who lived life with dignity and grace. Marie grew up in Jersey City one of eight children of the late Vincenzo and Margherita Ianuale. Marie worked for 35 years at the Lackawanna Laundry in the linen department. She married the love of her life Nunzio Grego on Easter Sunday in 1943. Marie lived and taught life lessons by example rather the lecture, always keeping her mind active and always connecting the dots in life. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Nunzio Grego; her sisters, Anna Wyman, Josephine Jensen, Susan Ianuale and Margaret Scimio and her brothers Peter, Ralph and Albert Ianuale.
