Hi Honey, It's Saturday, August 2, 2008 and I just want you to know that I'm still grieving for you and have so much guilt and regret about you going home to Jesus so soon. I'd cut a foot off for us to be in South Jersey going to dinner with our friends or going to the Casinos in Atlantic City and walking the boards together. I'd be more patient about not getting moved until July, 2010 and having our exit together back to Oklahoma. I miss you so much and will always LOVE YOU FOREVER!! The grandsons miss you so much!! I hope that you're looking down on them and smiling your beautiful smile!! I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER!! Linda

Hi Honey, I Love You So Much!! I miss you and pray one day I'll be sitting right by your side in heaven with you and Jesus. I'm so sorry I was such a nag and controlling!! I'll always remember you looking up at me with those big blue eyes and beautiful smile and holding me and saying to me BUT "I LOVE YOU MORE". I miss you physically not being in our "new home" together making bread. I'd let you get flour all over the floor if you wanted to and I wouldn't care. Just to have you physically with me. You are with me in the new house and I can feel you. You're with Jesus, you're Mom Ellen, Dad Henry, David and my Dad's Carl and Horton. I'm praying I'm doing what you would want for my life. I'll LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER. I PRAY THAT YOU'LL KNOW ME WHEN I SEE YOU. I PRAY THAT I CAN KISS AND HUG ON YOU!! I LOVE YOU JOHNNY LOVE, YOUR LOVING WIFE, LINDA I'm trying to make the grandbabies ball games and I know that you're looking down and cheering them too!!

I am so blessed to have known John at NFI but also to know him and Mrs. Hudson outside of the office through my parents. I will miss joking around with him; laughing about the fun stories which him, Mrs. Hudson and my parents had endeavored together; to hearing about his new hobby of baking bread; but most of all I will miss his smile and always positive attitude. Mrs. Hudson, even though John is not with us his memory will forever be in our hearts .

I worked for John for a couple years when first coming to National Freight. Never have I worked with a more caring, honest man. He treated his employees with respect and dignity, and always had a soft heart and kindness for me. His devotion to his family, esp his grandsons, was apparent to everyone, often telling stories about their newest accomplishments. It pains me so to have to write this, he will be sorely missed. Lighting a candle for you John.

What a pleasure it was to work with John at NFI and develop a great friendship with him. When he joined our Wednesday night poker gang, two years ago, he quickly became one of the favorites in the group with his quick wit and unique mid-west accent. John's next morning review, at NFI, of the game from the night before would always leave us laughing. "Our game will never be the same without John, we will miss him dearly". Jim, Mike and the rest of the poker gang.

I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with John over a period of several years. John was not only one of the top individuals in his field of expertise, but he was also a wonderful person. One of many measures of a man is their network of friends. I have heard from so many people this week who are shocked by the passing of John and will miss him greatly.

I was one of the many people that were blessed to have known John. John was not only a co worker but a freind. He would listen quietly, offer his wisdom when needed as well as his support. We had great conversations about Longwood gardens and the luxury of working at home on weekends in our pajamas. I will truly miss John and the wonderful times that we had.

Thinking of John brings back some memories of when I first started working for NFI around September of 2001. John was the kind of guy who could hire talent by seeing what kind of person you were instead of just looking at how many pieces of paper you had. He was a great judge of character. I often thought that my job was correcting the problem and being on my way, but John helped show me that people skills are just as important as technical skills in order to not only do a great job at work, but to also do a great job in life. Many of my best customer service skills today are the direct result of that positive attitude and "can do" mentality. John not only was a good friend, he was a mentor who helped inspire me to be a better employee and person.

When I think of John, I think of his kindness, first and foremost. What a sweet soul. I was lucky to have him in my life... whether it be in a smile, a "Hey Nicole, how's it going?" or a project in the works. He is truly missed and my heart is heavy for you and your families. He prayed for me and my family when we were in need. May we all meet again someday.
