Obituary of Denise Lynn Jacoby

Denise Lynn (Periconi) Jacoby, 68, of Vineland passed away on January 3, 2023 at Cooper Hospital in Camden. She was born in Vineland to the late Wilbert and Helen Periconi. Denise graduated from Vineland High School in 1972. She then went on to earn her LPN degree in nursing followed by a 40 year career as a nurse, working at Newcomb Medical Hospital, Millville Hospital and Cumberland Medical Associates. She retired in 2014 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only was Denise a caring nurse, she was also a loving and nurturing wife, mother and friend. Her wanderlust and curiosity led to a myriad of adventures with her husband Bruce and close friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends more than anything and was the life of every party. She was incredibly welcoming and kind to everyone she met and brought light to so many lives in her 68 years. She will be fondly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bruce Jacoby; daughter, Tara Lynn Jacoby; her aunts, Marie Periconi and Frances Pericone and her cousins, Michael & Linda Stanewich, Mark & Nicole Stanewich, Steven Stanewich and Josh & Lindsay Dunn. Denise was predeceased by her parents, Wilbert & Helen Periconi; brother, Richard Periconi; uncle, LeRoy Periconi; uncle Robert Pericone; and grandparents Mary & John Periconi, Richard & Elsie Johnson. A church visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2022 from 11-12pm followed by a funeral mass at noon from St. Mary's Church, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
