Obituary of Emma C. Gorgo

Emma C. (Grillo) Gorgo,79 of Newfield, died January 13, 2011, peacefully and surrounded by her family. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Anthony "Gooch" Gorgo Jr. Emma was predeceased by her parents Frank and Elvira Grillo, brothers Albert and William Grillo. Emma was the mother of Toni Van Camp (Steven), Frank Gorgo and Anthony Gorgo III (Maria). Emma was the grandmother to Christa Simonini (Gary), Aliscia Archetto (Dean), Anthony Gorgo, Maria Gorgo, Benjamin Scogna (Minerva). She was the great-grandmother to Gabriella Simonini, Gary Anthony Simonini, Giavanna Archetto, Benjamin Scogna And Aubrey Scogna. Emma represented the epitome of family life, she loved and cherished her husband and children. She was a wonderful mother and proud to be a loving homemaker. She then redefined her love and dedication for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved and adored by her family and friends for her kindness and sincerity and will be truly missed. She and her husband "Gooch" owned and operated Gorgo Pallet Company in Newfield for 20 years. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Parish. She was a receptionist and greeter at the Zumba Fitness in Newfield which is owned by her granddaughter Christa. She especially loved cooking, baking and going to the casinos.
