Our thoughts and prayers are with Babe and the Goldfein family. Shy will always be remembered as a mensch who offered a warm smile and caring words of encouragement from my early memories before my Bar Mitzvah to the day of my wedding and the birth of my children.

MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO BABE AND THE ENTIRE GOLDFEIN FAMILY. I WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND CLASSMATE OF SHY--I REMEMBER WHEN WE PLAYED ON THE FRESHMEN BASKETBALL TEAM TOGETHER- I ALWAYS ADMIRED HIM, AND THE OTHER NORMA BOYS, FOR COMING TO PRACTICE IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS FROM NORMA ON THEIR BICYCLES--HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND I'M SURE HE WILL BE MISSED. I KNOW I SPEAK FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS OF 1943 IN OFFERING OUR SYMPATHY.

I've known Shy Goldfein my whole life and have always been impressed as what a kind and gentle man he was. When I first graduated from law school Shy was instrumental in opening doors for me, and in fact, helped me land a job in Philadelphia with his nephew's law firm. He was a good person, and I will miss him.
