Obituary of Rita Ursula Gadola

Rita Ursula (DeMaio) Gadola, 81, of Vineland passed peacefully into eternity on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, on all Soul's Day, at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Gadola was born in Hackensack, N.J. and was raised in and a lifetime resident of Vineland. She was the daughter of the late Mary Carmella (Dente) DeMaio and the late Louis DeMaio. She is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph DeMaio. She is survived by her two sisters, Sarah Concetta DeMaio and Joan Anita Antonelli, her seven children: sons Jonathan Gadola, Joseph Bruce Gadola, Gregory Gadola, all of Vineland, daughters Rita (Maureen) Lopez, and her husband, Adan, of Arizona, Susan Carroll, and her companion, Antonio Lubrano, of Hammonton, sons, Daniel Gadola, and his wife, Carla, of Florida and Christopher Gadola and his wife, Michele, of Vineland. She had seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gadola was a graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1948 took nursing training in some Jewish Hospital, Philadelphia, and was a graduate in Liberal Arts from Cumberland County College, class of ________ . She worked as a secretary and office manager for the State of New Jersey before retirement. She loved ballroom dancing, sewing, singing, playing the piano, and cherished her Sunday dinners with her family. The matriarch of the family, she had a special gleam in her eye for her children and above all she enjoyed her time with them, her extended family, and particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Rone Funeral Home, 1110 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, and again on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rone Funeral Home followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Isadore's Parish, Vineland, N.J. Burial will follow in ________Cemetery, Landisville.
