Obituary of Mary Asselta

Mary (Concilio) Asselta, 101, Family Matriarch Mary Concilio) Asselta passed away Fridya, August 1, 2008, at Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland, NJ. She lived a devoted life to her husband James and her family. She loved her life as a homemaker, especially cooking and caring for her family. She particularly enjoyed family gatherings with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was the owner of Newfield Dry Cleaners. She was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church and the Rosary Society and participating in Bingo amd making her famed "Rice Pudding". She was a past member of the Auxiliary of Mater Dei Nursing Home. Mary was happiest when her family was around her. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, needle work and casino trips.She is survived by her son, and his wife Daniel and Theresa Asselta , daughter Vivian Panichello all of Newfield. grandchildren, Diane (Patrick) Bonieillo Newfield, James (Lynette) Asselta of St. Augustine, Fla., Mary Ann (Guy) Luciano, Newfield, Thomas Panichello, Newfield, Joe Panichello (Caroline) of Medford, Kathy (Scott) Fuerman of Atlantic City, and John Panichello of Phoenixville, PA, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, special nieces, Phyllis Fiore, Burena Rose (Frank) Luisi) of Somers Point and monay other loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1969 and her siters, Grace Testa, Angie DeMaio, and brother Dom Concilio.
