Obituary of Rose Disanti

Rose (Giammona) Disanti, 89,passed away on June 16,2011 at her daughter's residence, with her family at her side. She was born on June 16, 1022 in Bridgeton, NJ to the later Joseph & Anna (Perella) Giammona. In 1941, she married the alte Dominic Disanti and resided in Vineland ever since. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed in many endeavors, including Tursini Clothing, Shop Rite Supermarket, Selling various products and catering. Most notably, however, she became known as "The Cake lady", for baking and decorating cakes. her artistic ability and talent was best displayed through her creative and delicious wedding cakes. Rose was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi ( Divine Mercy) Parish since its inception, a member of the Single Parent's Society of South jersey and the Sicilian- American Club of South jersey. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend who always found tie to bring a home- cooked meal and visit any sick family members and friends. Above all else, Rose was a fantastic cook and baker, who expressed her love for family and friends through her gifted prearation of meals and sweets, beyond compare. She lit up the room with her presence and loved being the center of attention when telling her many jokes.
