Obituary of Frank Petrillo

Fiorage "Frank" Michael Petrillo 95 of Landisville, NJ passed away peacefully on April 6, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. He was born in Camden, NJ, the son of Antonio and Lorenzina Petrillo. Frank was a student of drafting to work in the architectural field. In 1943 he was drafted into the army, there he would go on to serve in the North African Theatre. Frank was part of the landing of D-Day, June 6, 1945 landing on Omaha Beach, fighting a battle near the town of St. Low, France. Frank was wounded and taken to a hospital in England. After the war he met his wife, Grace Sciarretta at a dance in Camden, NJ. They married on April 10, 1948 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Camden, NJ. Frank worked as a clothing cutter for 55 years. He had a great passion for gardening, cooking with Grace and spending many memorable days crabbing with Grace and their five children. Frank was a member of the VFW and American Legion post in Landisville, NJ. He was a man of few words, very patriotic and a loving, husband, father and grandfather. He leaves his devoted wife of 71 years, Grace; his sons, Mark Petrillo (Waka), Lawrence Petrillo (Maria) and John Petrillo; two daughters, Mary Ann Petrillo and Sharon Keller (Ray); six grandchildren, Dominic Petrillo, Leonna Petrillo, Christina Petrillo, Norris Glaso, and Seth Barratt and his brother, Anthony Petrillo.
