Obituary of Josephine Parks

Josephine Dolores (Mistretta) Parks, 98, originally of Vineland, NJ died peacefully in Burlington, NC on Monday, April 23. She was a proud, strong Italian American woman. Josephine was a wife, mother, homemaker and seamstress. Having attending fashion school in Philadelphia, she was a designer and creator of wedding fashions for many years. She was a loving wife and mother. She & her husband raised a family of eight children. She enjoyed travel, reading, dancing, music, family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her children, Carol, Darlene, Denise, Dennis, Michael, Daniel, Jimmy, and Corinne; her grandchildren, Christine, Steven, Joseph, Lara, Deirdre, Jan, Dawn, Michael, Kenny, Brenda, Danny, Dana, Eddie, Sarah, Olivia, and Gabrielle; and her great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Angie Marino. She was predeceased by her parents, Ignazio and Lorenza Mistretta, her first husband, Peter Giuliani, and second husband, Edward Parks, her brothers, Samuel and Jimmy, and her sisters, Mary, Jenny, and Frances. A funeral home visitation will be held Friday, April 27 at Rone Funeral Home from 9-11 am, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ follow by a funeral mass at St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland, NJ. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland, NJ.
