Obituary of Donato Conte

Donato was born in San Tommaso, Italy and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1966. He lived through WWII as a young boy and shared with his family the memories of that turbulent time. He married his true love, Elena, in 1954 and remained by her side until the time of her death in 2007. Donato was a skilled craftsman and bricklayer. He loved to spend time outdoors surrounded by the beauty of nature. He could be found either in his garden or in his wine cellar tinkering with his liqueurs. He loved to read and collect coins, a hobby that he shared and passed to many of his grandchildren. He cherished the moments the family gathered for Sunday dinners and sometimes could be persuaded to play a tune on his accordian. Donato was predeceased by his loving wife Elena (DeNovellis). He is survived by his two daughters Antoniette ( Adriano) Ricci and Maria (Dennis) Bracall and by his grandchildren Marco Ricci (Michele) , Remo Ricci, Olivia (James) Cavaliero, Claudia (Frank) Carozza. Gino Conte ( Elizabeth). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and his brothers, Gabriel, Tom, Mario and his sister, Antonietta. Donato was a quiet and gentle soul and he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him
