Obituary of Phyllis E. Sorocco

Phyllis (Trivelli) Soracco, 83, of Vineland, passed away at home under the care of hospice surrounded by her family on December 6, 2017. Phyllis spent most of her working career as an insurance agent for Heritage Insurance. She also worked at Limberts and Kimble Glass. Phyllis decided to open her own business, The Mail Room which she owned and operated for over 32 years, this business being the first of its kind in New Jersey. Phyllis loved serving her community. She was one the original board members for the Vineland Soccer Association where she served as the first secretary. For many years she chaperoned for the Miss Vineland Pageant. Phyllis also typed court transcripts for Judge George Huey, amazing her neighborhood friends who would watch in disbelief as she could type at the same speed as a person could dictate a letter. She was an avid bowler with multiple 200 games. Phyllis loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren talking about soccer and baseball with them. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Anita & Jim Larkey; son & daughter-in-law, Joseph & Kelly Soracco; grandchildren, Andrew P. Larkey, Lucas R. Soracco and Samantha R. Soracco; brother & his wife, Alex & Eileen Trivelli; sister & brother-in-law, Mary Lou & Barry Gardella; sister, Pat Trivelli; sister & brother-in-law, JoAnn & Carlo Bertoldi; sister-in-law, Shirley Trivelli and many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was predeceased by her husband in 2016, Joseph Soracco; her parents, Phillip and Helen Trivelli; sister & brother-in-law, Helen & James Alexander and her brother, Fred Trivelli. Funeral home visitations will be held on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 11:00 am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
