Obituary of Eleonor Lopez

We are family, is the message that my mother always wanted to deliver. Mom lived her life as a fighter. There was nothing that you could tell her that would stop her from living her life her way. She was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico and moved to the United States. My mother at the age of 74 decided to go back to college to get her degree in criminal justice. She was very involved in her church and loved teaching classes at the Bible Institute. My mom did the best with what she had and will always be an inspiration to me. She was an absolutely amazing mother. She is survived by her sons Osvaldo Ortiz, Jr., Mirocles Ortiz, Jose Adrian Ortiz, David Ortiz and daughter Erlinda Cruz Ortiz. She is the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren also, 6 great grandchildren which were the apple of her eye. The legacy she left was that of family, unity, laughter, and love. She could lighten up a room with her smile and charm with her child like manner. She will be missed every day.
