Obituary of William F. Smith

William Frederick (Fred) Smith, also known as Smitty, 80 of Vineland NJ passed away at home surrounded by his family. Fred was born in Philadelphia to William C. and Anna (Alsis) Smith on October 4th 1936. He attended St.Andrews High School where he was known by his Philadelphia buddies as the mayor of Vineland. Fred served in the U.S. Army from February 1960 to March 1962 when he was honorably discharged. He then worked 33 years for City of Vineland Electric Utility. Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years Lucille (Milanesi) Smith, two sons Rick Smith, Michael and daughter in law Carrie Smith, three grandchildren, Emily Smith, Eric Smith, Brittney Brown, one Great grandson Gage DiNiglio, sister in law Denise Kaganzev, sisters Sue (Ruben) Flores, Donna (Pete) Barnett, wonderful caregiver Marie Ulbrich, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements will be conducted by Rone Funeral Services; 1110 E. Chestnut Ave, Vineland NJ 08361. Church visitation will be on DATE&TIME followed by a funeral mass at Christ the Good Sheppard Parish Church of Sacred Heart; 1010 E. Landis Ave, Vineland NJ 08361.
