Christine - I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I know how heavy your heart is having buried my father in last month. I was at Dondero's Jewelry yesterday with my mother buying her a gold chain for my father's wedding ring when I heard the news. I would love for us to get together after the holidays - please email me. You're in my prayers.

Charlotte was the most compassionate and caring person. As a physical therapist she was assigned to my mother Catherine Amari for effects of Parkinson's Disease. Charlotte was like a ray of sunshine when she would come and somehow would conjole my 85 year old mother into doing her exercises. Charlotte administered to both the physical and the spiritual side of the clients. My parents so enjoyed her visits. Our sympathy and condolences to the family, we were priviledged to have had her in touch the Amari family with her loving care.

My first job was in Newcomb Hospital as a nurse's aide. That was 43 years ago. Mrs. Connor took this sacred kid under her wing and taught me so much. She was very nice, very understanding and that meant so much. My sympathies to her family.

To the Children of Charlotte Connor: You don’t know me, however I knew your mother and was sadden to read her obituary this morning from my home in Florida. My brother and I met your mother back in 1973 when she was his Physical Therapist at Newcomb Hospital. My brother, Danny was born with rheumatoid arthritis and had physical therapy a couple of times a week, at the hospital. We always looked forward to seeing her. Danny was only six years old back then and I was about sixteen. My mom and dad divorced and I became the caregiver for my younger brother’s and sister. Charlotte knew our situation and felt it in her heart to give us an extra smile, a hope of confidence, an advice or two, a lending ear, a ray of hope in a most difficult time for my brother and I. We greatly appreciated her and know that she was a blessing in our lives. When Danny married back in 1991 she came to his wedding. We were so glad that she was there with us sharing in the moment. Just this year Danny celebrated his 40th Birthday and when we were looking back at pictures we saw the picture of Danny and Charlotte at Newcomb doing physical therapy and Danny and Charlotte at his wedding. When I read the obituary this morning I was compelled to share my story because I want you to know that your mom was a kind, warm and beautiful person in someone else’s life. It’s ironic that Danny just came home, yesterday from Columbia University Hospital in New York after having his second full hip replacement. He is doing wonderful and hopes to be walking with a better spry by next spring and somehow I can say that Charlotte has been a part of his ongoing therapy. Your mother will be sadly missed but the lives she touched will live on. She was a true blessing and from her obituary I can see that she was not only a blessing to us, she has touched many others. God bless you all. Persida Serrano

To the family of Charlotte Connor: I remember Charlotte from the years I spent going to church with my family at St. Francis. She was always such a cheerful and inspiring person. Charlotte was also a dear friend of my mother's (Toni DeAngelis). I know through my mother's stories how much Charlotte's work with the Grandparents' Association helped the students of St. Francis. I know that Charlotte will be dearly and sorely missed, but I also know that you will be comforted by the legacy that she has left with her beautiful children and grandchildren, and the good works that she did for the church and school. My sincere condolences, Donna De Angelis White

As a former teacher of granddaughter Charlotte I recall her smile and kindness. My wife Stephanie has a great memory of Charlotte buying her Highlights magazines as a little girl. When we had our first child, she came to the baby shower with a photo book that we treasure dearly. Charlotte and her kind spirit have touch us for the rest of our lives and we will never forget her. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Fondly, Marcos and Stephanie Mendoza-Ramos
