My wife, Gayle, and I had so much fun with Dody and Morris on Singer Island at the Inlet. There was something magical about two people who could transform a non-descript concrete shelter overlooking the blue waters of the Inlet into a commodious outdoor living room where all were welcome but only a few were invited to stay. Morris’ love for Dody had no bounds, since Dody knew no bounds when it came to bawdy humor that poked fun at Morris and his friends. Morris, by contrast, always brought dignity and grace, and wry sense of humor to all who took the time to interact with him. He served his country well in World War II, but he also served up a big smile and measure of kindness to those who knew him. He inspired his children to go on to make the world a little bit better through healthcare and community leadership. He will be missed.

I met Mr. Sarnoff almost 40 years ago, as a young detailer he taught me well. He show me ways of caring for a car that I never would have imagined. He informed me that the best job that I could do, was with his products, and of course he was right. The visits that we had, he called them sales calls, were always the highlight of the day. I never truly understood what a Mench was, until I met Morris. His kindness has and will continue to live on in my heart and memory.

Dearest Dodie,
Morris was the "Light of your Life" and that light will always be there for you; coming to you at the most unexpected time or in the most unexpected way.
May you know that you gave him all the love and care possible and that you are now the one to be loved and watched over. Time will heal.
