I've not only lost a beloved cousin, but a dear friend as well. You fought cancer just like you handled all other life adversities that would have crushed a lesser person-- valiantly, head held high, with panache, and on your own terms. I am grateful that you were there for me as I was growing up, and chose to share 25 birthdays with my sons. God bless you, dear cousin. Please watch over us all.

To Lois, Gina, and extended family of Bonnie: I was so deeply devastated when I heard of Bonnie's passing. I had been writing her little notes over the past few months, just to pop in from Florida to say hello and give her some tidbit of information. I fondly remember your family. Your father and mother were always so gracious to me. They were wonderful people. I remember visiting Bonnie when she lived in Lancaster, Pa., and also when she lived in Georgetown. We also would spend time visiting at one of the summer houses. I will always remember her and her gregarious ways and quick wit. I remember at a party she pulled me aside and shared with me that I did a superb job raising my son. I was ever so grateful for that. Just recently she wrote me an e-mail when she found out that I had been to Moffitt Cancer center in Tampa. I am so dismayed that I never got the chance to write back. I am thankful, however, that she is in a better place. Rest peacefully Bonnie. Again my deepest condolences to your family. I sent a donation for a Mass card to the Franciscan Friars for Bonnie to be remembered daily at Mass, for the next year. I did not have an address to send the card but her name has been entered.

Bonnie will be missed; no words can express the sadness felt by her passing; another light of the class of 1961 has gone out.

To Bonnie's Family. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Bonnie and I attended Sacred Heart together. She and I were the co-editors of our senior yearbook. I always loved her and considered her a friend even though our paths did not cross very often after graduation. She and you are in my prayers. Sincerely, Sharon [Cheli] Lorenzini.
