Obituary of Kenneth J. Caterina
Kenneth james Caterina, 90, a lifelong resident of Vineland, passed away peacefully on may 12, 2015, at the New Jersey Veterans memorial Home in Vieland. he was born in Vineland on Huly 21, 1924. he was born during the Depression and worked on a farm to help support the family. he attended Vineland High School and honored by the Vineland High School Football's team. kenneth served in the United States Navy as a Coxswain in WWII where he received the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon, The American Theatre Ribbon and the Victor Medal. At the Semper marine Hall in Vineland, he was inducted into the "Greater Vineland Baseball League Hall of Fame" he also made his professional boxing appearance in 1947. Kenny, as he was known by many, retired as a Vineland Utility Supervisor after forty years of Service. His greatest pride was in keeping a lovinghome and providing for his five children. He enjoyed family parties, singing songs, playing the guitar and banjo. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a friend to anyone who knew him.
