Obituary of Sophie Barbetti

Sophie (nee Ballard) Barbetti, 81, passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on Friday, April 10th. Sophie had suffered for almost two decades with a variety of health issues. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Robin (Barbetti); her youngest daughter Rhonda (Cohn), son-in-law Dr. Steven Cohn, and her grandson Chase (Cohn); as well as two sisters: Doris (Ballard) Kincade, and Eileen (Ballard) (husband Al) Trivelli. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald James Barbetti (2002); siblings Nellie (Ballard) Saxton, Edward Ballard, Scottie Ballard, and Tom Ballard. Sophie was born and raised in Milmay, NJ. She graduated from Vineland High School, class of 1951. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and worked in the accounting department of Horner Mack for several years until marrying. Sophie was a stay at home mother until both daughters were in school; at which time she returned to the workforce as a Realtor for McClain- Heller Real Estate for almost 30 years before retiring. There will be a private memorial service and internment.
