Carl and Joe - I was just sharing some 'Bridgeport' memories with my mom and she asked about Laura. This news saddened her. My mom often thinks about all the times your mom visited her and helped her with cooking; she was such a pleasure and will be remembered always. Please know that we extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I was making a special effort to contact the family of Laura to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also in Revelation 21:4 it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Again, my condolences for your loss. Please check out the jw.org web site for answers to many Bible questions.

I'm so sorry and saddened to hear about aunt Laura passing. I still remember when uncle Sabato brought her to Italy...she was a special person of beauty inside and out. This is a great loss to her family and all her loved ones, but she is in a better place, with no more suffering or sadness of her own. I'm sure she is reunited now with my mum (her sister) Filomena Monticolo...
