Obituary of Leo J Doerr

Leo J. Doerr, 87, of Vineland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his daughters, on February 22, 2015. He was born June 5, 1927 to Francis O. & Ida (Borgo) Doerr. Leo served in the Navy, stationed in the Phillipines during World War II. He returned home to marry Dora (Marcacci), they were married for over 50 years. When he wasn't operating Doerr Glass Company with his brother "Shorty" he enjoyed snowsking, hunting and golfing. Leo especially loved playing on the local golf courses with his grandson, Jared. Leo was a member of Knights of Columbus, He also served many years as an usher at Sacred Heart Church. He is lovingly remembered by his two special caregivers, Alice Siaway, who helped him for four years and Priscilla Apraku, who cared for him these last two years.
