Dear Mari, Patti, Flip and families, So sad to read of your mom's passing I know how much you love her and my thoughts will be with you. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see you since we'll be away, but some day soon it would be nice to get together to reminisce. A lot of happy memories. I really liked your mom. With sympathy, John

I was very sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. Even though we all have our beliefs of what happens to a person when they die, reading what the Bible says about the condition and hope for our dead loved ones is very comforting. The Bible states that when someone dies, they are not suffering; note what it says “For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all. (Eccl. 9:5) But that is not all the Bible says about the dead - notice the promise made by God at Isaiah 26:19: “Your dead ones will live … They will rise up. So Almighty God not only has the power but also the desire to resurrect persons whom he chooses. So having this hope of seeing our loved one again helps us to cope with the grief and pain of losing them now. I hope you can find comfort in these words and in the promises found in God’s word the Bible.
