Obituary of Robert A Squillace

Robert Anthony Squillace, 69, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. Born on November 7, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ralph C. and Doris (Milne) Squillace, he was a 1963 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Robert attended Marquette University before proudly serving in the U.S. Army Security Agency in Germany, the Aleutians and Southeast Asia. He graduated from Cumberland County College. He was employed as a blackjack dealer in Atlantic City, NJ and Biloxi, MS. Robert was an avid sports fan who played contract bridge and enjoyed fishing, playing pool and lively conversations with his many friends. Prior to his illness, he was pursuing his life-long love of cooking by attending the Gulf Coast Culinary Institute at Faulkner State Community College in Gulf Shores, AL. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother Richard Squillace in 2005. He is survived by his brother COL Ralph C. Squillace of Little River, SC and his sister Mary Wolfe (Walter) of Vineland, as well as his nine nephews and nieces. Robert was passionate about issues pertaining to veterans, especially veterans who suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. A Funeral Home Visitation will be on December 19, 2014 from 12pm to 1pm followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm at Rone Funeral Service. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E.
