Obituary of Catherine Henderson

Catherine Henderson, 89, of Vineland passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2014. Born in Mohoningtown, PA, Catherine's family moved to Vineland at an early age. After 35 years of service with DeRossi and Son Clothing, she retired to care for her mother. She enjoyed music and never missed an opportunity to dance. Not one to sit and watch the world go by, she busied herself with family, gardening and truly had a creative knack that ranged from creating elaborate decorations for holidays to fashioning detailed wishing wells for bridal showers. She excelled as a seamstress, carrying on the tradition that began with her father's tailoring business. Most importantly, she was a loving wife and mother who always placed others before herself. Her last years were spent battling Alzheimer's disease and God sent an angel when Munah Vani arrived to become her caregiver. The compassion and love she exhibited for Catherine provided much solace during a very difficult time. Catherine is predeceased by her husband Belford, parents Vincent and Arminda Capece, brothers Frank, Ralph and Anthony (Juniper OFM), and a sister, Josephine (Capece) Confalone. She is survived by her two children, Lawrence Henderson and wife Carolyn of Norristown, PA, Gregory Henderson and wife Jenifer of Vineland, stepson Lane O'Neil and wife Jennifer, stepdaughter Emily and husband Mark Aznavourian, and granddaughters Aislin O'Neil and Valen Aznavourian. A Church visitation will held on Wednesday June 25, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am from Christ the Good Shepherd Parish- Church of Sacred Heart 1010 E.
