Obituary of Audrey C. McDermott

Audrey Caroline McDermott 91, of Vineland passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. Audrey was born on June 21, 1920 to Herbert and Eva Rush Babbitt and resided in Vineland most of her life. Prior to marriage she worked at Goves Thermometer Factory where she met her husband Daniel L. McDermott. Audrey loved home, family, painting, gardening and she was especially fond of children. Throughout the years her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and neighborhood kids all gravitated to Audrey's house for tea parties, crafts, games or swimming in the family pool. Audrey is survived by her sons, Daniel of Georgia and Ronald of Indiana; her daughter-in-law, Darlene McDermott; her grandchildren, Tina Martinez, Joseph Russo, Jennifer Kersey, Joel Shipwash, Lara Gerner, Jill Storms, Deirdre Fanelli, Ryan McDermott, Chelsea McDermott, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Audrey is pre-deceased by her husband Daniel L. McDermott; her son Richard P. McDermott, daughter-in-laws Donna McDermott and Connie McDermott; her brothers Herbert, Norman, Clinton, Warren and Richard Babbitt; her sisters Ethel Durand, Eva Garbarino, Dorothy Kolva and Constance Babbitt.
