Obituary of Paul Dennis Bossi

Paul D. Bossi, 74, of Vineland, passed peacefully on Saturday evening, December 14, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Paul was a lifelong Vineland resident. After graduation from Vineland High School in 1957, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in West Germany. It was there that he met and married his wife of over 52 years, Marlene. Upon his return to the states, Paul operated his own egg delivery business while obtaining his Associates degree in history from Temple University and raising a family of four. In 1968, he was employed at Venice Maid Foods in Vineland, eventually becoming plant manager. He also was plant manager and purchaser for Blue Coach Foods for 7 years, and owned and operated Luigi's Bar on Crystal Avenue from 1986 - 2000, retiring after that final year. Paul's greatest love was his family and friends. His years were filled with travel, traditions, and family events. He made many trips to Europe with his wife, Marlene, oftentimes bringing his children and grandchildren, to spend time with relatives and friends. He was a member of the Vineland Elks lodge, holding the office of Exalted Ruler for two terms, and was involved in community sports, managing the Recreation Little League team in the late '70s. But Paul most enjoyed life when he with his family and friends. Whether it was a Sunday afternoon barbeque with his children and grandchildren, or a Pennsylvania golf trip with his sons and friends, these were the times that filled his heart with joy. He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene (Caspari); children Paul M. Bossi and wife Janet, Frank Bossi, Danielle Burns and Jeffrey Freese, Donald Bossi and wife Tatyana; sister, Marlene Perrone and husband Michael; sister, Kathleen Poole and husband Albert; sister-in-law Irmgard Behrenbeck and husband Guenther, and sister-in-law Margot Schoog of Germany; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Home Visitations will be on Wednesday evening, December 18 from 7pm to 9pm and again on Thursday morning, December 19 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am on Thursday, December 19 at Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
