Obituary of Rita T D'Alessandro

Rita T. D'Alessandro, 84, of Vineland, passed away at the Genesis Millville Center on Thursday November 28, 2013 after a brief illness surrounded by her family. Rita was born in Vineland and was a lifelong Vineland city resident. She was the daughter of Joseph & Rachel (DiCurcio) D'Alessandro. She was predeceased by her brother, Victor D'Alessandro. Rita attended Sacred Heart Grammar School & Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1946. She worked for Limpert brothers until her retirement. She then worked at Consalo Brothers for many years as a bookkeeper and part time at Newfield National Bank. Her greatest joy was crocheting & making her pizzelles. She also loved going on excursions with her friends, Bobbie, Mary, and Joan. Rita loved the holidays and truly looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. Rita is survived by her niece & her husband, Dyann (D'Alessandro) & Eddie Leonelli; and great nieces, Sara and Katie. Also surviving are Cindy & Frank Saffioti who played a significant part of Rita's life along with their children, Frank, J. (Amy) Joseph, (Melinda) Jana Testa (Stephen) & John (Nicole). A Church Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 3 from 9:30am to 11:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:45 am at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland, NJ.
