Obituary of Herbert Laskin

Herb Laskin, 81, of Vineland passed away October 22, 2013. He left this world peacefully. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie, two daughters Rita and Jennifer, their spouses, grandchildren; Aya and Moni and many good friends, associates, and beloved patients. Herb was born and raised in Philadelphia, the son of Esther and Barney Laskin. He served in the Merchant Marines, the US Army and was a Captain in the US Army Reserves. He attended Westchester University and the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Allied Health. Herb moved to Vineland with his family in 1967 to begin his Physical Therapy practice treating patients for over 40 years with his partner John McKenzie. He never fully retired. He was an active member of APTA (American Physical Therapy Association), South Jersey Business Association, and enjoyed fishing, boating and travel. Herb Laskin positively affected thousands of lives throughout his life and career. He had an endearing sense of humor while respecting and treating everyone with dignity and compassion. Herb was predeceased by his parents Barney & Esther Laskin and his sister Rita Sklaroff. A Funeral Home Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11am to 12:30pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
