Obituary of Herchel Gershenowitz

Dr. Herchel "Harry" Gershenowits 87, passed away in Kennedy Health Systems in Washington Twp.. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a longtime resident of Pitman NJ. Dr. Gershenowitz was a full professor at Rowen University formerly Glassboro State College for over 40 years. Harry was also a registered pharmacist in NY, as well as a diplomat in pharmacy. Dr. Gershenowitz is published in over 300 professional articles, and has earned 6 professional degrees. He was also the recipient of the Telly Award for being an outstanding nature lover. An extremely well read man on a variety of subjects, with a library consisting of over 15,000 books. Dr. Gershenowitz is survived by his sister Frieda Langman and niece Tina Kletter both of Staten Island, NY. Harry is also survived by a host of friends, and was predeceased by his sister Elsie Hershenowitz. Graveside Services will take place on Sunday June 9, 2013 at 3:00PM in Alliance Cemetery, Gershel Ave. Norma, NJ 08347
