Obituary of Jerry Brown

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Jerry Brown, 86, of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Freda (Zemlin) and Joseph Brown. He moved to Vineland as a young man and began the first investment firm in the Vineland area. Jerry worked in the finance industry for more than 60 years. He was widely recognized for his philanthropic work in the community, supporting the hospital, the synagogue and many other organizations. He was a great and generous friend and touched many lives all over the country. Jerry served his country in World War II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Air Corp. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dolores (Donato) Brown; 2 daughters, Susan Adair Brown and Vanessa Brown, 3 brothers Robert, Joseph and Ronald Brown; 1 sister Dolores Levy, and nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was predeceased by his son Michael John Brown. Jerry will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:30 pm by Rabbi Dr. Murray J. Kohn, from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Norma.
