Obituary of Lillian Sauro

Lillian (Blake) Sauro, 88, passed away Monday. March 23, 2009. at South Jersey Regional Medical Center. Born in Baltimore to the late Clarence and Lillian (Mitchel) Blake she attended Philadelphia Public Schools. Lillian moved to Bridgeton in 1938 and moved to Vineland in 1955, where she currently resided. She worked in the clothing industry for Major Coat Company, Shapiro Clothing and other area clothing manufacturers for over 35 years. Lillian was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. After her retirement, she enjoyed cooking, bingo, casino trips and antiques. She is survived by her son, Steven Sauro of Vineland, her nephew, Larry Blake of Seal Beach, California and nieces, Linda Hassell of Wenonah, NJ and Ruthie Marker of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. Her husband Jospeh Sauro predeceased her in 1985.
