Obituary of Joseph A. Ruf

Joseph A. Ruf Sr., 88 joined his loved ones in Heaven on Wednesday, October 27th while surrounded by his family. He was born in Philadelphia, to the late Joseph A. and Anna (Bloom) Ruf and raised in Atlantic City. He was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. After his retirement from the United States Army he lived in Pompano Beach Florida and Whiting, New Jersey with his wife Terri. During his Military career he spent many years overseas in Korea, Japan, France and Germany. He is survived by his sons Joseph A. Ruf Jr. and wife Merle of Vineland; Terrance D. Ruf and wife Maureen of Pittsgrove Twp.; daughter Devon D. Danser and husband Steve of South Toms River; grandchildren Brian J. Ruf of Ashburn,VA, Tara (Ruf) Olmo and husband Chris of Vineland; Hayley (Danser) D'Angelo and husband Mario of Bethlehem, PA.; Stephen L. Danser Jr. of Bel Air, MD; Terrance Ruf Jr. of Pittsgrove Twp. and great granddaughter Nicole Ruf of Ashburn, VA. Joseph was predeceased by Terri N. (Rich), his wife of 62 years and sister Anna Helen Ruf A memorial Mass is scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday, November 6th at the Church of St. Isidore, Magnolia Road, Vineland. A church visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be private. Donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N.
