Obituary of Joseph Palmonari

Joseph Palmonari, 85, of Buena Vista Township passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare Inpatient Center in Bridgeton. He was born in Ladd, Illinois to the late Virgelio and Mary Palmonari and has been an area resident most of his life. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946 and was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon. Joseph was a carpenter and truck driver for many years and was employed with J.V. Palmonari, Inc. He was a former member of Landisville Social Club. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lillian E. (Frana) Palmonari of Buena Vista Twp., daughter, Kim Morales of Mullica Hill; son, Bruce Palmonari of Buena; son, Joseph Palmonari of Middlebury, PA; daughter, Donna Palmonari of Vineland; daughter, Karen Hoxworth of Vineland; brother, Antonio Palmonari, of East Berlin, PA; sister, Mary Scott, of Ladd, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by brothers John, Louis and Leo Palmonari. A church visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 10 to11 am at St. Bernard Church, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Dorothy.
